Dr. S.L. Batra, a true educator with simplicity as his hallmark, is no more with us. He was a dreamer with a vision. Dr. Batra was instrumental in bringing up the the Bharti Group of Schools from scratch to this prestigious state. He laid the foundation stone of Prakriti in 2009, both in spirit and action. Dr. Batra's leadership at Prakriti will be sorely missed. His lofty ideals will, forever, be a source of strength and inspiration for all of us and guide us in all our endeavors. We wish his soul peace in the abode of heaven.

An eminent and widely respected educator, Mr. Bharti is the Chief Mentor of Prakriti, guiding and counseling on all aspects of the school. He brings with him the experience of a career in education spanning over 40 years. Having taught Economics in the initial stages of his career, he later gave shape to his vision of inclusive, progressive education by co-founding the prestigious Bharti Public group of schools (BPS). Under his able stewardship, the BPS group has over the past 30 years established itself as one of the premier schools of NCR.

Ms. Krishna, an author and educationist, is leading our effort to design and develop a curriculum to ignite young minds. At present, she is the Director of Khaas Kitaab Foundation, an NGO engaged in publishing innovative books for children. She is a faculty member of a course on Early Childcare & Education at Mirambika Research Centre. She also consults on early childcare and education issues. She was the first Director of Tamanna, an organization for helping children with special needs. She is the author of a number of tactile and sensorial books for young readers, and Hindi textbooks for classes 1 - 3. Her efforts have been recognized through the Raman Munjal Award of the Rotary International for excellence in vocation, and the Silver Prize in the OSHIMA World handmade picture book contest, Japan.

With over a decade of experience in the field of information technology, the use of technology to improve the quality and delivery of education in India is now both a passion and profession for Bharti. Having completed her Masters in Computer Applications, she lived in and gained international experience in US and India. Currently, she is extensively involved in using her technical expertise to realize her vision that education should strive to achieve natural and experiential learning. As co-founder of Building Blocks, an organization that promotes technology-aided experiential learning, she has designed curriculum that encourages creative exploration of science concepts for young children. Bharti is an alumnus of University of Delhi and XLRI, Jamshedpur.

With a Masters degree in Finance from Delhi University and Chartered Financial Analyst certification from the CFA Institute, US, Shilpa has over eight years of experience in international finance. She has traveled and lived around the world, and has received training in early childcare and education. As a believer in Sri Aurobindo and the Mother’s philosophy of integral education, Shilpa has joined Prakriti to help create a melting pot of the East and West – a centre of excellence that values rigour as much as creativity and individuality.

With Masters Degrees in Physics and Education, Shalini is a respected name in the field of education in India. She was a recipient of the Teachers’ State Award given by the Govt. of Delhi in the year 2005. 8 of the past 15 years of her career in education have been spent as Principal of Bharti Public School, Mayur Vihar. Her rich experience and outstanding abilities are much valued in bringing academic rigour to Prakriti.

An educator, economist and photographer par excellence, this multi-faceted personality has excelled in every role that he has chosen for himself. An alumnus of National University of Singapore and National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, Mridul brings to Prakriti a unique mix of academic and creative perspectives, so essential for the holistic education that Prakriti intends to impart.
